Looking for a plug in that can be seen through the server console if possible. I just want to be able to see SMART attributes and tracking changes would be nice too.

Suggestions? Looked at disk management and it seems to be way over the top...

JonTa, first the batch files to stop DE (which are working great), now this!

Thanks again!!!! (in a non man-crush kind of way)

Heh, glade I could help.

Do you need parity backup solution for WHS (in an unRaid way)?

@BigTy

63 bad sectors would worry me a bit. Take a close look for the next couple of days (weeks) and if number will be increasing I would defiantly RAM it. Ihmo, even with current number you could claim an exchange easily..

How are people getting their AOC-SASLP cards to report SMART data?

Also, only 4 of my 5 mobo connected drives are reporting SMART data.

What should I be looking at to fix this? Cable, driver, drive, other?

Duno, all my disks are reporting, including the ones on the AOC-SASLP-MV8.

still a mystery to me too, have tried number of things but I still dont get smart from sat2-mv8 & saslp-mv8.. have updated mb bios, reinstall whs with ahci, flashed fw of cards, etc... there are only one version of drivers on supermicro ftp site and i really think its more of a luck draw with mb/cards combo than anything else, or newer revisions of mv8 cards..

The reporting of SMART on that card definitely has to do with the mobo.
On my 680i mobo it would not report but in my X58 it would, so there really is not much you can do there AFAIK
