From the picture he has a LC Power Silent Giant 550W. Don't get it. LC Power makes some spectacular shitty power supplies. So definitely avoid it.
I thought it was some European-branded Cooler Master eXtreme Power..
I think I'm going to switch from WHS built to prebuilt. The Acer H340 looks interested but the only disappointment is that they don't include a video output, mouse and keyboard input. So everything has to be remotely controlled?
when you say shitty what do you mean???inexpensive?'your completly wrong,a psu for this kind of server don´t have to be more powerful nor expensive,just with the amount ou power and the most important....reliable,and i can assure you that LC may not be a Corsair ( price,performance or modular) but is a relible and inexpensive power suply,or you think that a Qnap or Thecus top of the line that cost 1000+ have a better psu???
well...the HDDs are 4x Western Digital 1TB Green ( cooler ,reliable) the board have vga on board,and the ram is a patriot Kit 2Gb DDR800,all cooled by 3 aquacomputer Airstream fans and a scyth controller.

When I say shitty I mean of extremely low quality. Or has the quality of shit. You're right that a decent PSU does not have to be expensive nor powerful. However, LC Power is none of the three. It may be inexpensive but it's still of low/shitty quality.
Two reasons why I say that particular LC Power PSU is shitty:
- First, it's a 550W PSU with only 31A on the +12V rail. There are 400W PSUs with that much power. In fact, even in Europe there are quality 400W PSUs (Corsair in fact) with that much power for under 50.
- Second, if you look at the insides of that PSU, it's virtually sparse for a 300W let alone a 550W PSU:

Fine that PSU is working for you. Great! But I'm trying to say that there are better power supplies for the same price. As such, the OP or anyone else for that matter shouldn't waste their money on it.
i don't buy it for the power,for 35 i dont care if they say that have 700w but it only delivers 400,for me the important is reliability and i believe in a friend that have a store called F13PC that says that from lower price quality, LC is the one with the lower rma nunbers.In this, i belive,on your knowledge or on the site were you read ....well...
