I love Amd64 too....this is why im making the switch to them...couse intel overheat and all that amd is much better for gaming/multitasking and the chips wont get as hot as intel ones now and days...

I find HT a lot better for multitasking than A64s, but whatever. I still use the older Northwoods, so I don't worry about these issues.

Get a northwood and OC it. I just picked up a 3.2C and have it at 3.6. You get great gaming, PLUS silky smooth multitasking :)

I love my prescott, its great for gaming and ofcourse it can't compare to a AMD 64 in gaming but it has HT which is really great for multi-tasking.

I've had both, AMD64 and Intel. I'm running Intel in my lappy. Game performance and etc is near the same. The AMD64 machine would bench more though. I burn a lot of stuff and rip/encode and Intel is great for that. Using applications on my Intel rig seems snapier. Both are great chips though.

Yes I used Intel; but I switched to an AthlonX2.

So yes as in the past tense of your title; but I couldn't vote. I currently don't use intel; but I have in my lifetime.

Brucee, you started an Intel vs. AMD thread in the Intel forum? Please get a clue, such threads are not welcome.
