Hello guys/gals..

I need your honest and professional opinion on the three monitors I am looking at. If there is one that you honestly feel is better then please do share.. (FYI- I'm not interested in 4K Monitors) Now, I am only looking between these three for the moment.

My Set up RIG- CaseLabs with Asus Gene IV mobo i7 quad core, running two Classified EVGA GTX 980 in SLI.. 32GB Rams (Dominator).. So It's all whistle and bells for the first time for me. Now the only thing left is I want to run one monitor for gaming, watching movies, doing some editing/photoshopping..

Here are the three monitors I have been looking at.

1-ASUS ROG Swift (2560x1440)

2- BENQ 3200PT (2560x1440)

3- DELL Ultra sharp 3014. (2560x1600)

I am fully aware that ROG Swift has the G-Sync.. Do I still need it when I have two killer cards running? Which out of all three will I get the most out of? The bigger screen it is for me the better. Although I don't want to tolerate the Micro stuttering.

So which one of these three would you pick and why?

I would go with the swift. mainly because it has Gsync which is awesome! you want wanna go back and it also runs at 144hz witch should be pretty cool with 980 sli.(i only have an 970) and overall im just speaking from experience(3 wks) and i say it's your best bet. (It also does 3d:D)

you may want to also check out the acer ips version of the swift if you need 2% better colors or better viewing angles.

Considering you put slower VA and IPS monitors on your list you must value colors and viewing angles, so why not consider the Acer XB270HU when it's essentially the IPS version of the Swift at a couple of bucks more?

I don't understand why everyone wants gsync.. he has two amazing cards, so why is there concern about his FPS dropping?

I used ULMB 144hz with a single 670 and just lowered my settings.

No G-sync=screen tearing, stutter, lag, ect...

Buy an Acer XB270HU. The Dell 3014 is an abomination and is one of the worst monitors one can choose for gaming (it suffers from very obvious overshoot ghosting) and watching movies since it suffers from vast amounts of white IPS glow when viewing dark content from less than 121cm/4ft away. The Asus is also a bad choice for watching movies since it uses a TN panel with very limited viewing angles, and is only slightly faster than the Acer pixel response time, but 99% of people will see a difference since the Acer is also very fast.

Even two 980's will not max everything out at 1440p and 144fps. Not without a good amount of sacrifice to the image quality. I'd love to see a single 670 play the Witcher 3 at 1440p and 144fps even with the lowest possible settings.

ROG is a low-blur monitor, good for competitive play; I don't understand the obsession with max settings. Lower settings = less flora, smoke, debris to hinder your vision, and smoother textures to make the enemy more obvious (opposite of digital camo).

Would be good if he only played nothing but competitive online games. For single player games I'm sure the eye candy would be nice and two 980's won't exactly cut it in every single game and that's why gsync is good thing to have.

Hey HF Gangs..

Looks like the G-Sync is must have running along side with 2 GTX SLI then..

When given the chance yes I do compete online with VOX7 Clan in the pro servers. So I would want a Monitor that will not give me a headache with stuttering or flickering when gaming is fast and quick. I do recall my former DELL U2410-12 having that problem. So DELL U3014 off my list then!

Looks like ASUS ROG maybe off the list too. Before I do that, I'm gonna check the ACER out now.. If I have any questions I'll be back to ask.. Thanks again guys for giving me your feedback and tidbit information regarding to Monitors.. :)
