which case would you choose??

Well basically I am trying to decide on which of these 3 cases to go with:

1. antec p180b
2. lian li pc7b
3. lian li v1000b plus II


Right now I am using an antec slk3000b case and honestly its doing just fine. I just purchased a silverstone 750w psu and was thinking about a new case. Which one would you choose. Here is what I am going to put in the new case:

E6400 oced to 3.4ghz with a scythe infinty heatsink
asus p5b deluxe
bfg 8800gts
2x dvd burners
74gb raptor
320gb WD drive
 
I just got the PC-7B, VERY impressed with it, but the V1000 is just gorgeous.

To be honest though, take a look on newegg at the PC-A16. it's $150, same size as the PC7, but has a completely ventilated front like the V1000. Possibly the best looking case out here. if I didn't get the PC7 for free, I would have gotten the A16 in a heartbeat.

V1000B for any price under $175 is a steal. Saw one on Ebay go for ~$90 recently ...
granted, he had a seller rating of 8 (100%) with no details and no pics. ;)


But for a budget, the P180B is fantastic....almost picked one up @ $80 a couple weeks ago.
 
The lian li v1000b plus II looks the best to me, although the P180 would make a good budget build.
 
I have the 7B and can't complain at all. It's not as fancy as the other cases, but it's very functional, has two 120mm fans, and is much lighter than the P180 I used to have before this. Usually about $100 cheaper than the V series. Never tried the V1000 series, but I've heard that the V1200 are a little better because they are slightly larger and have more room for the PSU.
 
yeah, i guess i will stick with this now, it does what it needs to do. I might just slap a top 120mm or a side one for extra cooling.

Did you mount a fan up front ahead of the HDD's? A slim 120mm fan there would do wonders if you haven't already put one there.
 
yeah already have, this case is nice for what i need it for now, my new power supply should be in on thursday, so i was pondering about a new case.
 
I think you've made the wisest decision. I've built about 7 or 8 of those SLK3000 cases and they're really nice for the price. Pretty close to the Sonata at the time. Save your money, or put it into speed...you could upgrade ram or cpu with the extra money. If you were talking about putting a blowhole in the side/top...when I was using these, they didn't have a blowhole on the side, we'd cut in a blue led 120mm right over the video cards, really brought down temps.

Rosewill Case

I do alot of builds for friends and family, and recently I've moved to this case because they have instant rebates and free shipping quite often on them. Saves the people money. It's not too much different than the SLK on the outside. The only difference I like is the Power button lights up blue and you don't have to open the door to hit it.
