Ok I need a judgement call.

XFX HD5770 or

Pure Nvidia GTS 450?

Which is the better card for gaming?
 
Most of my questions stem from new products at Best Buy since I work there. :)
 
5770 is the faster card in almost all scenarios. the 450 is really a piece of junk. last time i was at bestbuy they were selling 5770s almost $200. they can be had for less than $130 online quite easily. im not sure what your employee discount is, but bestbuy is a ripoff on computer parts 99% of the time so i would look elsewhere.
 
Unless you're need to use CUDA or are doing Folding@Home, don't get the GTS 450. The HD 5770 is better gaming card hands down.
