the canon is f2.7 , the sony is f2.8

or do you not know what f1.8 means?

The camera I use now takes GREAT pictures. I still would like to know why you argue they are shitt cameras?

Not everyone can spend the money you spent on your camera. I don't appreciate you "flaunting" your crap around here. You have been NO help and unless you can come up with facts, I'd appreciate it if you just stayed out of the thread.

shit cameras take shit pictures.. go figure

Care to Elaborate? The Sony, maybe. The Canon however, is not a "Shit" camera. It's a nice camera, and has its place in the market, and is priced as such.

Oh yea, and to actually CONTRIBUTE to this thread. Check out www.steves-digicams.com for sample images.

I would go with the Canon, they have never let me down. Sony's High end cameras are nice, but not for the money. You more or less buying the name.

I bet either of those cameras can take pictures as good (or better) as your camera, depending on the photographer behind them. Hell, I'm willing to bet that both the Canon and the Sony will take better pictures than your Olympus 8/10 times in real-world picture taking due to image stabilization.

IS is pretty useless for moving subjects though.

Anyway, back on topic, I'd go with the Canon over the Sony, but you should also consider some of the Panasonic ultrazoom models.

what do you plan on taking your pics of?

the canon has is so in lower light youll get better images from camera shake.

it really comes down to what your preference is

sony review - http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonyh2/

you get a 400mm tele range out of both of them so just read up and make your choice

the canon is on the older side and no new versions out yet while the sony has a few newer models out over the h2
