This 1 has a few cons, when grahpics card is in and ram its a bit close they reckon?

The Sapphire board is pretty new, so there aren't many reviews or users who have shared their experiences yet. The Epox board is pretty nice. It will work fine for you. The Asus is ok if you want SLI. If/when you get into overclocking, the Epox is probably going to perform best because it has more overclocking options. Of course, the Sapphire might be the best of the bunch, but there's not enough information about it over in the U.S.

I ended up buying a Chaintech VNF4/Ultra motherboard for my recent build. They're not very fancy, and don't have all the bells and whistles of a more expensive board, but I got it because a couple websites, such as anandtech.com, said it was a good stable and reliable board, and recommended it for their budget and/or mid-range PC builds. I've been happy with it so far. Best of all it's under 90 bucks.

Downsides include it not being the best for overclocking, which if you get into you might want to use a better board. It's not like you can't overclock it, but you can probably get better performance, more easily, with a better board. Also it only has one PCI-Express slot, and only 3... yes 3, PCI slots, so you can't fill it with all kinds of extra hardware. The 8.1 channel onboard sound is nice though.

Why can't you OC it? Did you get latest Bios? It has a decent voltage range with the RAM (2.9V) and VCore (1.55V maybe), so you should be able to get a decent OC unless you're trying WC or something and want more voltage. I got a Venice to 289x9 for 2.6Ghz, so it does a decent HTT too.

Yeah im after sli, so you reckon the asus one yeah?

Would that be good for 7800 gt or gtx? with no bottleneck?
