I've been looking at the LG W3000H, Samsung 305T, Dell 3007, HP LP3065. Which is best for gaming in your opinion?
 
Like the OP, I've been on a bit of a quest to find a 30" LCD (one to replace my dying BenQ FP241VW), and it's come down to some of the ones the OP listed. The NEC, while nice, is a little out of my price range, and the only thing keeping me from jumping on the DoubleSight is the lack of HDCP support.

Other than that, I think the two I'm now torn between are the 3008WFP (since the input lag problem was fixed) and the 3007WFP-HC.
 
I've had my 3008WFP (version 2) for several months and can tell you it's a fantastic gaming LCD. I've played all the latest games -- Dead Space, Mass Effect, Dark Messiah, Crysis, Left 4 Dead, Dark Athena, etc. Not once have I noticed even the slightest input lag. I'm firmly convinced that input lag is an "eye of the beholder" issue. Some see it, some don't. The only other 30" LCD I've tried is the Gateway XHD3000. IMO, the 3008 is superior in every way.

The input lag problem on the 3008 was fixed!? Please elaborate... Is that with the version 2 model? If so, how can you guarantee you receive a ver.2? I see dell still has some 3008's in their outlet.

I got a refurb (RMA due to stuck pixels) and a new 3008 back in mid-January. Both were version 2. I don't believe Dell sells any v. 1 models now. A lot of problems were fixed with v. 2. My new 3008 doesn't have any of the backlight bleed or lag problems that plagued the first version.
 
Just because some people personally do not "feel" any input lag on the Dell 3008WFP, doesn't mean it's not there. Most people won't notice the lag if they do not play at a more competitive level in first person shooter games.

I've tried most of the 30" LCD's out there. I don't like PVA panels so that eliminates a few right of the bat like the 305T and the Gateway had horrible input lag. The Dell 3007 and the HP are essentially the same S-IPS with nothing particularly great about them besides not having scalars and being pretty quick on input lag.

I only use my 30" for the PC and I have no need for HDCP since I have a home theater to watch blu-ray movies. Plus I needed the lowest input lag possible for games. That let me to the DS-305W, as it's a great H-IPS with only 7.5ms input lag. Not to mention a aluminum case versus cheap plastic for the rest and separate power supply block. With the power supply being separate, the back of the screen case were the vents are make it barely even warm to the touch. The power block on the floor doesn't get that warm either.

Some deal killers for the DS-305W are though if you absolutely must have HDCP and don't want to use a program to get around it, or you need more then one input for a PS3 or whatever.

But if you need a straight up computer gaming 30", the DS-305W can't be beat.
 
DS-305W is H-IPS; the newer of the IPS panels.
However, the stand is not very impressive IMO.
 
Dell 3007wfp-hc, HP LP3065, and DS305W are the same. They use the same Q3 panel.
LG W3000H has got the latest Q5 panel so you should look into it.

The Dell 3008 is also a G5 panel.

The panel specs are identical for both LCDs. The first version of the 3008 had lots of problems that were corrected in v. 2.
