Is this Soulsborne / Seikro nonsense or more like Stellar Blade or normal Action RPG game?

Went ahead and gave it a shot, it's free so why the hell not? About 4 hours in and I think there's a probably a pretty good game here, but it's incredibly overwhelming.. so many mechanics, it's like the game is trying to do everything. I've been mostly just very confused the whole time. It looks and runs good, the combat feels good, but man, just so many wtf is this and that and the other thing.. Anyone else actually playing this?

Trying to. I feel similarly overwhelmed. The game is a jack of all trades, master of none. Such an overwhelming amount of mechanics and none of them feel particularly polished.

I am somewhat enjoying the exploration so I'm gonna keep going with it for a bit to see if things get better.

What kind of co-op experience is it? I think I read where the story can't be played co-op but was hoping that wasn't true.
 
This game is dangerously addictive. The amount of content is staggering. And the side content is surprisingly high quality (make sure not to miss the "campaign quests"). Temu Wuchang and I are going on so many adventures together.

Early on it’s just so incredibly convoluted.. it’s either something I’ll get past and dump a ton of hours into or dismiss entirely and uninstall, can’t tell yet.
