Where are the 12MB quads (Q9450/Q9550/Xeons)?

I've been waiting and waiting for the Q9450, Q9550, or equivalent Xeons to be in stock at the egg or at other reputable online dealers (or heck, even at Microcenter). I hesitated when it was first released because I thought there was excessive price gouging, and now it's still never in stock even if I was willing to pay usury prices.

I know OEMs must be eating up the majority of the supply here, but wth, Intel? It's MAY! Get this in stock!
 
NCIX has the 9450 and the X3350. I've ordered from them many times with no problem. They also have the X3360 if you have $620 to burn.
 
Frys (Southern California: City of Industry) got 22 of them in on Friday, I bought one yesterday. $330 + tax.

Congrats! These things look to overclock very well. I took my QX9650 to 3.83GHz on air with a Zalman 9500 LED cooler (might upgrade the cooler) and its Prime 95 24 hour stable. The Q9450 was my first choice of CPU when I decided to build this rig but I couldn't find any a month ago and then started thinking too much and spent too much and built this thing. But it sings!

All of my overclocking is on the multiplier. I'd be interested to see how FSB oc'ing goes for you. Good luck!

little question for you, will the qx9650 overclock to 400mhz on the FSB ,and run stable 24/7 ?

I have had my 9650 OC'd to 4G for more than two weeks with some serious Bioshock and Crysis time on it. Runs like a dream.
 
spec'd a system for a buddy of mine. He built it a few weeks ago, XFX 780i, Q9450, 4gb DHX, 2x 9800GTX's. He's having issue with the ram (needs to RMA is, but he works all the freaking time), so once that's done I'll have some numbers to post I hope.
 
I had a choice between a Q9450@ $349 or a Q9300 @ $269 + FREE 2GB of OCZ .......I went with the Q9300 since its about a $100 difference for 6MB of cache
