When will get a official optimized driver for our 7970s

Im waiting to get the party started with my 3 7970s but other then BF3, some benchmark programs it's pretty much downhill from there, is there any official Date on a optimized driver?
 
And if there isnt still when GTX680 comes out, good bye 7970.
 
Sorry to the CF guys, I have had my card 4 days, running rc11 driver, played thru the rest of batman AA and lots of BF3 and some DXHR missing link and it's been sweet. Only 1 card though :(
 
When are they due or can you say? Any improvements?
 
Yeah would be nice eh? 4 cards and i have to disable 1 and can only use 3 for BF3.. Kinda feels like my fun is on hold till these drivers come out and i doubt it will be all peachy for the first offical 7970 release.

Yeah i'll be all over the next nvidia release as well if nothing changes by then.
 
is there a way to submit bugs to AMD? Damn witcher2 keeps crashing with 2 gpus,

I've changed mobo/cpu/ram and windows install and still =p cfx crashes my system when playing the witcher 2 ><

Just curious and I am not trying to be snide I really am curious, but what are you running that needs 4 7970s?
 
Does anybody know what project(s) that AMD's driver team could be working on that is deemed higher priority than properly supporting their flagship GPU card?

I have to assume it's internal politics and not incompetence that is keeping the driver development so far behind hardware. But I have not heard what those projects may be, so figure I'd ask here.

It's not the first time I tell you this, but here 4X 7970 Quad-Fire with 3X 30'' Eyefinity is working fine, even in BF3.

You're doing something wrong. It's not the drivers. Every games I play are working fine on my side, except a couple of games like Metro 2033 were the 4th card is not making any difference vs 3.

But no crashing/BSOD or any other problems.
 
Hehe that's the same trash the 6970/6950 users went through. Same ol' AMD. I can't believe I finally have decent 6950 Crossfire drivers; the last official 12.1 version was fine. I'm figuring by the time AMD releases the 8970 sometime next year you guys should be good to go.

It might be politics, but I'm sure Eric Demers leaving didn't help matters.
 
Change is not always a bad thing.. maybe the next person up will get with the program and atleast put out offical drivers for there newest cards on release date hehe.
 
Don't get me wrong I live my 7970s but why the Phuk do I get the same frame rates in games like F1 2012 as I did with 3 6970s in tri-fire or Negative scaling in Batman and Crysis2. Some say roll back to the launch drivers they might work, I say Phuk off Amd Im pretty d
Sure this will be my last purchase from them,Gonna go to team Green next time.
