is it best to do it side by side or all of it at once when the sides are attached to each other?

When you say the sides are attatched to eachother, does that mean you just haven't unscrewed them?

When painting a case, you want to take it apart down to the bare chassis and side panels/front panels and paint them all seperately

paint them seperately, AND make sure they are horozontal..i've tried painting case side panels while tilted, and the paint tends to run (VERY easily when tilted)unless you do a very thin coat(which takes soem time and practice, so i doubt your first paint job will have many thin ones) good luck! :)
