whats wrong here

i downloaded fraps to see my fps in all my games i play nfsu2 max settings i only run like 40-60fps but in inreal 2 the awakening im getting 140+ fps all the time now in cs source i get around 100fps why is nfsu2 so much slower

Does it cap the FPS at 60? Doom3 looks like it does something similar to me. No matter what settings I run it at, it always says 60 FPS when I run it with the FPS monitor on.

i know nfsu1 has a fps cap of 60fps i believe the same goes for version 2. doom 3 has a fps cap of 60fps as well but not in the timedemos.

NFSU2 is graphically demanding

every game is going to give you different results based on the game itself, the graphics demand it has, the in-game graphics options you have chosen, the resolution, AA and AF setting you are playing at, and the scene it is rendering

dont worry about it, loads of games cap the fps, doom3, joint opps etc.

I believe it's due to the enhanced contrast setting. Don't worry, check out online benches... the best cards get sub 60 fps.
