It's a windows halt error (blue screen), and vista and xp are set to not display them by default. I'm hoping everyone knew that, but if you didn't you might want to Windows Key + R, eventvwr next time one happens. Nice when programmers put in error codes to diagnose issues right?

Also, you can disable automatic restart by going to system properties (Windows Key + pause/break) -> advanced -> startup and recovery, and uncheck "automatically restart."

Could you please relate the blue screen error code you got? I cannot help you untill I can see a number, code or discription of the issue. I am aware about turning off "XP or Vista error reboot" option.

have a nice day.

this thread makes no sense

are you telling people how to disable the automatic reboot in windows NT based OS?

I think he is just telling people how to use the event viewer to diagnose BSOD's.....and that you can turn off auto restart if you so choose...
thats how I read it anyway...

I was just noticing that alot of people refer to blue screens has "random restarts" etc. Which is funny, because Microsoft switched to having display disabled by default to rid themselves of the nasty little bluescreen that everyone hates. It seems like the current generation of leet haxxors have completely played into it, and don't even realize what they're own comptuer is doing lol.
