hey all,
From what I can tell the VRM's are shaped differently on the 7970 than on previous gen Radeon's.
It looks like each VRM is a pair of chips, one slightly larger than the other.
See pic below:
There appear to be six pairs of chips down the right, and one pair up on the left for the RAM.
What would you guys use for VRM sinks on these?
people seem to like the Enzotech MOS-C1's and MOS C10's on VRM's in th epast, but are they appropriate for this dual chip design? Maybe a MOS-C1 on the small chip and a MOS-C10 on the large one?
Any ideas appreciated.
