hi everyone, my cousin built 2 systems with the same parts. asus boards 2(2gb) ocz ddr2 sticks, amd am2 processors..the first system booted up fine, installed everything and it was a success. The second system..well it powered on, fans were spinning, but no signal to the monitor. I tried taking out memory sticks, no still no signal, i tried adding a video card in the pci-e slot..no signal..so i go out and buy the kid a new motherboard..hooked it up..same problem. However, as i was swapping the motherboards i noticed one bent pin on the processor, SO the only processor i had on hand was one i got out of a system that experienced a static death..i tried it same result.

MY QUESTION is simply, what could the problem be? Is the processor responsible for no video being transmitted to the monitor? if so, why? thank you.

Uhhh.

Lets see you, you had a no video problem and instantly swap out the motherboard. Wouldn't it be logical to try a different video card first? -.^

Check the "If your system does NOT POST" of the stickied Basic Troubleshooting Guide.
