What should I upgrade first?

I was able to obtain this comp at a bargain; I'm hoping to turn it into a semi-viable secondary gaming machine. Here's its specs:

Athlon 1.8ghz (2200+ ??)
MSI KM3M-V mobo link
2x 256 ram
40gig hd

I was wondering what I should upgrade first. I was thinking of getting 2x 512 sticks of ddr333 and a 6600GT, but I don't know if I should upgrade the processor first or not.

I'd drop that Via motherboard like a bad habit, on top of that it does not even support AGP 8X.

Granted 4X should be fine, even for a 6600GT, I would definetly steer clear of trying to run a gaming machine on that motherboard with a new graphics card. Sounds like a headache waiting to happen.

I wouldn't spend that much on an AGP video card now. I'd get a used 9500pro, 9700pro, or 9800pro for it. And upgrading the memory wouldn't be a bad idea, but maybe not necessary depending on what you'll be using it for.

Looks like you should just sell it and buy something else.. It looks like you will have to upgrade it all to get anywhere, anywhere good anyway..But I suppose getting a 9800Pro would be a start

You can get OKAY performance with that CPU/mobo, but yes, sell it all to get something GOOD.
