What HDDs do you plan on using? A computer is as fast as its slowest component, and thats typically the HDD in most modern systems, unless you have one/some of the newer/faster drives or an SSD (or two).

Because you already have it, lol, and it fits your needs (just not your wants :p).
 
Use the phenom, grab 4gb of g.skill ripjaw 1600, and an asus/gigabyte 790FX AM3 mobo.
