1280 x 1024 --> Native res on my LCD.

If I'm on my CRT I go to 1600 x 1200 if my 6800GT can handle it...

Currently it's 1680x1050, but once I get my new rig set up (parts are ordered and in the process of arriving) I'll be moving to 1920x1200 since that's the "native" resolution of my CRT.

PS - I realize there's no such thing as a native resolution on a CRT, but that's what's recommended and it's much nicer with my second monitor at 1600x1200 since they have the same vertical resolution then.

1600x1200 on my Dell 2001FP. Love that monitor, but i think i'm ready to move up to widescreen. 24" sounds about right for my next monitor.

1680x1050, which is the native resolution on both my desktop and laptop.

1280x720 if the game is too demanding to run at the respective machines native resolution.

1920x1200 on all games including Oblivion.. but I have to go down to 1680x1050 for Vanguard. Man I need to upgrade for that thing..

It's funny people reading off multiple resolutions for the same monitor which aren't even the same aspect ratio LOL

1600 1200 4:3
1280 1024 5:4

Um...

I used to use 1280x1024 on my 4:3 CRT coz 1280x960 didnt look right to me. Weird i know :D. I use 1920x1200 or 1600x1200 on my dell 2405 now though, depending on wether the game supports widescreen or not.

1280x1024 because it's my Viewsonic VX922 19" native res, and it's about all my 6600GT can handle anymore :(.

2560 * 1600 if i can get a playable frame rate (most of the time) or 1280*720 if i cant

1920 x 1200 using the gateway 24 inch WS LCD. It's for my DX10 build but my current rig is bitching at the native res lol.

16 x 12 when I can. (Which is becoming less often as time goes on and new games come out)

1280x1024, because it's the native res of the monitor (HP f1905), and it seems to be the sweet spot for my video card (flashed and OC'ed X800GTO2), where it can run with most of the bells and whistles cranked up and still give me a decent framerate. My long-ago days as a Quakehead still give me the urge to play at 1024x768 so I can squeeze out EVERY LAST FPS, but I'm learning to fight it.

1680x1050 on my main.

17somthingx11something if I'm on my media center. Yay for CRT HDTV's and overdraw.

2560 x 1600. This makes sniping in BF2 so much damn fun. I love to find a high place and just chill, picking off guys that are really far away. The thing is, when you have this many pixels making up the image, even guys really far away are rendered with a good number of pixels, which makes it easier to target the really distant guys. Sorry for the sentence structure, maybe I'll come back later and edit. :p

1680X1050 here, too. I'm on the Viewsonic VX2025.

It's a nice resolution because it has a lot of the detail of the zany ultra high resolutions, but still perfoms only a little worse than 1280X1024. The only knock on it is that there are still games out there that don't do widescreen without jumping through a bunch of hoops.

I do 1600x1200 on my CRT.

Unless I upgrade my 6600GT, however, I don't think that will last much longer.

8x6 in newer games
10x7 or 12x10 in most games
16x12 in older (read 2004 and back) games.

Granted, these days I play little but CS:S

Pretty much the same for me. Damned 9800Pro. Mind you I don't game on my PC as much as I used to, since I broke my desk and now it's awkard to game on. : (
