Obviously, this will vary from game to game, but I'm curious to see what people generally use for gaming. You may choose multiple resolutions, but please try not to go overboard...

So...What resolution do you use?

EDIT: For the purposes of this poll, if you use 1440x900, please use the 1400x1050 option. I missed including 1440x900 when I made the poll. Sorry!
 
1680 x 1050 on my 22" widescreen, you can't beat widescreen gaming.

Oh and I have my CRT in reserve if I ever need larger, that's upto 2048 1536 :)
 
1600x1200, but that could change shortly after I replaced my 7800GT with an 8800GTX and CoH performance tripled.
 
1280x1024 for me. That's the native res of my beautiful 19'' Samsung SyncMaster 930 BF :)
 
1900x1200 for all PC games (1920x1200 or die!) and 1920x1080 for console games that support it.

All the games are played on my Benq.
 
Your 1400 option should be 1440x900, not 1400x1050... that's generally a laptop resolution.

1440x900 here, I didn't vote because of the lack of any appropriate option.
 
i think my monitor goes up to 1280x1024, but my x700 pro cant handle that res in any of my games, so i game at 1024x768. still looks and runs ok, but i cant wait for my new pc w/ an 8800gts and a 20.1" monitor @ 1680x1050 :cool:.

You are, of course, correct. There are 19" monitors with a 1400x1050 resolution, but they are far outnumbered by those with 1440x900 (3 of the former and 27 of the latter on newegg). For the purposes of this poll, please consider them to be the same
 
I've never owned a monitor over 1280x1024 or a video card to support current games over that resolution.

I do think I'm going to pick up a 1080p monitor soon though.

1680x1050 on my AGP 850 xt PE

Poor thing is doing all it can to play any new game at 30fps.
 
1920x1080... in 37 inches. The only time I do anything less is if the game doesn't support it.
 
1600x1200 as often as I can, which is almost all the time. I think the only game I have that I
have to run at 1280x1024 is F.E.A.R.
 
1680x1050 for now on a Samsung 225BW. Want to get the BenQ FP241W and switch to 1900x1200 but right now I cant afford it. :mad: :( :mad: :(
 
8x6 in newer games
10x7 or 12x10 in most games
16x12 in older (read 2004 and back) games.

Granted, these days I play little but CS:S
 
laptop: 1440x900
server/gaming: 1600x1200 or 800x600 depending on how graphics heavy it is.
 
1680 x 1050 but it's feeling a bit small lately. I'm really starting to get the itch to go 30". :cool:
