My new system will be a Phenom 9950 BE, 4 gigs of DDR2 and a single 4850, 2 7200 hard drives and a single optical drive, what wattage PS should I get, I don't want to go overboard, I just want releiablily I will NOT ever be overclocking anything ever but may move to a better video card in the future.

Thanks in advance...

See my sig and we have 'similar' specs and the Corsair HX620 is rock solid.

BTW...I am looking to sell since I am adding WCing and eventually another 4870x2, so want to upgrade to 700+.

My two cents and sales pitch :p

actually, the corsiar vx450W would be more than enough for that system, but you can get the vx550 for only $4 more, so take your choice.

Agreed, people are giving you overkill. A solid 450W psu will be fine, 550W would be nice. I would throw the HX520 into the mix if you want a modular supply.

I'd go with the corsair 750w PSU.
he said no overkill and you suggest a psu that can run two of his comps?

only good thing about that is the 750watt unit is only 12 bucks more than the 550watt unit on newegg so.....
