Every box there is better than my ONE 'gaming' box...lol.

Main rig has a BFG 6800 GT OC moved to it from a Radeon 8500 :p

Second rig has a BFG 6800 GS OC.

Rig #1 does all my basic game playing.

Rig #2 is pretty much a BF2 player only.

EVGA 7900 GT CO Superclocked 575 Core 1720 Memory for everyday use. For benching
590 Core 1800 Memory

I'm still running the BFG 6800GT I bought back in July of 2004. I flashed it, however, with a 6800Ultra BIOS after I made some adjustments to the voltage and clock levels. It's still running well despite the higher voltage and clock rates (crosses my fingers). =)

I question the validity of the survey results. People with older cards may be less likely to participate.

1. why is there a computer in your kitchen?
2. why is the video card in it more powerful than any other card in your house, sans your CF setup?

I has a 20" LCD connected and is paired with a FX53 so why not?

Kitchen= island with LCD on swivle mount so it can be seen 180 degrees

7900GT.

I wasnt expecting such a massive lead by nvidia.

I was.

ATI lost a lot of mindshare when they didn't support PS 3.0, and then proceeded to charge a premium for their x800-series cards. Remember when an x800 Pro cost as much as a 6800 GT, but couldn't perform nearly as well? Remember when ATI PROMISED to release the x700 XT to compete with the 6600 GT, but never got around to it? Remember when ATI used the 9800 Pro to compete against the 6600 GT AGP, because their PCIe bridge chip was late?

The x800 XL and the x800 GTO came too late to save ATI's mindshare, especially when Nvidia released the 6800 GS to bring their own 12-pipe power under $200.

ATI was LATE with the x1000 series, and it was overpriced as hell on release. Am I the only one who recalls the $249 MSRP for the x1600 XT, when it could barely beat the 6600 GT and x800 GTO? How about the x1900 XL for a whopping $450 MSRP, thus leaving a gaping $200 hole in ATI's pricing? Sure, ATI dropped the prices $50 overnight, but the cards were still overpriced.

Only now are the x1000 series cards priced to compete (with the $200 x1800 GTO, the $300 x1800 XT, and the $350 x1900 GT). I expect ATI to gain a lot more mindshare this year, but it will take a long time for them to undo Nvidia's top spot.

7900GTX in main rig and 7800GTX in HTPC.

I know the HTPC is overkill, but I hate selling stuff for cheep:)

I'm using an ATI X800XT All-in-Wonder. It replaced an ATI 9700 All-in-Wonder.

7800GS CO Superclocked here in AGP (only way they come)

Main deal: eVGA 7800GT
Wife's rig: MSI 6600GT
playaround backup/loaner: Asus FX5900 Ultra
Other loaner: MSI FX5700
Other other loaner: GeForce 2 MX200 (woohoo!)

I have a lot of borrowers around... :p

x850xt PCIe
For the price ($135 refurbed from newegg), I couldn't resist when I sold my high end parts to my brother. Seemed like a better deal than the 7600GT.

I have a PCI-E X800GTO2 @ 540/1242, and it's faster than X850XTPE :D.
