Specifically Rosetta Stone, I know about the more popular, moderately priced mics out there like the Yeti etc. What I'd like to know is how much should I spend to get a mic that's good enough to be used with voice recognition/language learning software?

Thank you.

You want one made in the country you are trying to learn the language from. /s

Pretty sure the mic in your laptop will work fine. It is usually more about the mic that fits your comfort zone.

Thanks a lot guys. As it turns out, my built in laptop mic has been working just fine like some of you said.

I'll give this a try, looks interesting.
It's AMAZING. It's a completely free product that has premium features.
