Mainly play games... 22inch monitor.

Depends on the games you play. I'd say upgrading that 8800GT would be your best bet unless you mostly play the handful of games that really utilize a quad-core processor, then I might upgrade that instead.

Or if you are at least somewhat happy with your computers performance currently, you might consider getting an SSD. It's not as "fun" of an upgrade as a new CPU or Videocard but it will probably have just as much if not more impact on your overall computing experience.

I play everything under the sun :p I'm thinking 5830 or 5770. My motherboard sucks ass though, I need 1.41 volts to run that CPU at 3.8 :/

Don't get a 5830. Kind of a waste of money over a 5770. If your CPU is already overclocked, then that's about it. You should also consider getting a bigger HDD and/or SSD. I used to think that people were crazy for needing more than 200GB of data, but after I got my new hard drives I've filled them up like crazy. And that SSD will give your OS an impressive makeover in terms of performance.

The 5830 isn't a great bang-buck performer, it doesn't perform like it should IIRC due to drivers. Go with the 5770 for a bit less or if you can splurge pick up a 5850.

22" 1650x1050 or 1920x1080 because there are 22" 1080p. I have one :)

If you're happy with your computers current performance, wait until you're no longer satisfied before you upgrade. :p Personally, I'd grab a single platter 500GB HDD, an Intel or Indilinx SSD, along with an HD 5770 (if you're playing at 1680x1050) or HD 5850 (if 1920x1080+).

The HD 5830 has actually reached a price point where I can start recommending it. Considering the following:
- The HD 4890 is now $220 and that the prices for the HD 5850 has increased to $320
- The HD 5830's performance is more or less the right in the middle between the HD 5850 and the HD 5770. So to match the performance, the price of the HD 5830 shoud be about $240, the median pricing of the HD 5770 and the HD 5850.
- The HD 5830 can be had for $230:
$230 - XFX HD-583X-ZNFV Radeon HD 5830 1GB PCI-E Video Card

So at $240 and below, the HD 5830 is now a good buy IMO.
