What does this mean? (Boot error)

Lately I've had some problems with my computer randomly shutting off -- I think it's the power supply. Well today I started up and windows said I needed to reactivate because my hardware config changed. I didn't have my network cable plugged in to a shut off my computer and plugged it in. When I tried to restart I kept getting this error:

This is on a new Hitachi 250gb SATA drive. I have windows installed on another drive (long story) and it boots fine. I've never seen this message before either...

do you have a floppy disc? if you do make sure the disc is out of the drive when booting. This probably isn't your problem... but you never know.

I think this means that NTDLR can't access files on the drive it was loaded off, usually the next stage in the bootstrap process. I can force this error message by changing my fileserver's SATA controller from native to legacy mode which puts the SATA busses 'after' the SCSI cards busses. Beyond that no idea sorry
