Well no my wedding isn't going to be geeked out, etc... its a classy wedding. But I did have to add my own little touch. While be dragged around to the various Wedding shows this company was selling an electronic card service. Looked neat, touch screen interface. But they wanted like $1500 for it, and i only need it for like 1 hour. Sooo i decided to take my old shuttle PC and an old 15" Dell touch screen and made my own. Im still having the old fasioned cards for seating, since I have some elderly coming who cannot use computers, but let me know what you guys think. Its still a work in progress, figuring out what else I need to do/should add still:

Do you know the table layout in the place? Might be a nice touch to not only tell them what table, but give them a picture of where that table is relative to where they currently are.

Yeah I thought about that. I don't know the layout yet, it changed from how it was last year, giving us more room, but I have to find out the table arrangements still. I like that idea, my cousin mentioned something like that as well. I'll do a floorplan but with say a 50% opacity, and then their section will be in color.

I was expecting a downloadable smartphone app that would guide them to their specific seat based on their phone number, or make them choose their name if number isn't found. The app could also include some engagement photos, some trivia tidbits, etc. For those without smartphones, they can ask a relative or the ushers/groomsmen could help them. If they don't have smartphones, they could use a tablet or iPod touch. Too much?
