i used opera for about 2 years, then they borked it up with the homepage crap and a few other things i dont like anymore. now im using firefox, but i think im going to give opera a go again soon.
I use Opera/FF/IE.
95% of the time I use IE.
Firefox not only has entirely too many memory issues, a shitty looking interface, and incompatibility with websites (I swear- this incompatibility thing is getting worse it seems like to me), IE has an interface that just works better methinks. Doesn't take up as much room, manages RAM more efficiently, and every Windows box has it.
I use FireFox for a few cool plugins it has though, but other than when needing to use those, I don't like it.
Opera has some sweet features as well- I honestly cannot tell you why I don't use it, as I really do like it.
Right now, Firefox but I downloaded IE pro 7 and it moves the menu bar around and changes the download manager so for compatibility (and performance) reasons I'll be going back to IE after I do my fresh OS install.
Firefox is main, Opera is occasional when I feel like it and IE6 only when I absolutely have to. This means only when I'm at work because some of the web apps require IE6. Otherwise, I use Firefox for my personal browsing at work as well as at home.
Firefox and IE7. Does anyone know if Firefox has a "Alt + Q" function like IE7. One of my favorite plug-in for Firefox is PicLen that and IE tab when I need to do a quick switch.
95% of the time I use Firefox (add-ons FTW), unless I'm hitting Windows Update on my laptop, then I'll use IE7. I also have Opera installed, but it's collecting virtual dust.
i personaly dont like firefox that much... its a great browser but EVERY time i open it it needs to install updates... i mean seriously its like once a week now?
i use opera at home and im much happier with that... its fast, works great, and remembers what pages i had open... and i can undo closing tabs which has saved my ass more than once!
I've been using the new Firefox beta for about a week now and have never had it crash once. It's about 5% slower than Opera, but honestly, Opera's interface just isn't for me. Been spoiled with Firefox's greatness for too long now.
I have been using almost exclusively Firefox since it first came out, but recently I've found myself using Safari more than FF. I've found Safari loads most pages a little quicker than Firefox, and with Firefox's current situation in terms of how fairly taxing it is on your system, that's another motivator that's led me more to Safari recently.
I still love Firefox though, and that got my vote. I'm sure the memory usage will be addressed in the next FF build.
