What are your thoughts on this AM3 system?

I'm hoping for some feedback on a system I'm looking to build. I didn't go shopping for best price yet, and was only using the egg to base my overall price. Two major pieces are missing at this point.

One is the case. and the other is the video card. As for the case, I honestly got tired of looking, and gave up before finding one. I did like the lian li traditional styled cases. Any case suggestions would be nice.

As for the vid card, I currently have a 5770, and I'm mulling over the idea of picking up another on the cheap to crossfire. It appears that CF 5770s are pretty close to the 5870's capabilities. $140 sounds better than the cost of a new 5870.

Here's the system:
- ASUS M4A89TD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD
- AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz
- G.SKILL Trident 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000
- CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-950TX 950W
- Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s

Priced these items at newegg for a $735 total.

Any thoughts you have on the chosen components is appreciated. If any of them were bad choices, or you think there's a better option, let me know.

Additional Info:

- System will be used for games, web surfing, basic video/picture editing, productivity apps for work, and other basic computing. Powering a single monitor @ 1920x1080.
- I would probably look at eyefinity in the future, but not right out of the gate.
- Budget is roughly $1000

Thanks

Ok you are getting way overkill parts. First, I would drop down to the cheaper 890GX chipset with this:

$140 - GIGABYTE GA-890GPA-UD3H AM3 AMD 890GX HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

DDR3-2000 is WAYYYYYYYY overkill, btw you don't mention if you plan on overclocking, are you? Stick with this set:

$96 - G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

As for the PSU/other GPU, I would hit up this combo as you are right, xfire HD5770 is pretty good:

$245 - XFX HD5770 + XFX P1-650X-CAG9 650W PSU

CPU and HDD are good. The Samsung F3 1TB is also good and cheaper than the WD.

Thanks for the response. I do plan to overclock this system to some extent, which is why I thought to get the 2000 ram.

In another thread, I saw most people recomending the 890fx chipset, so I leaned towards that board.

you will hit the HT(FSB) wall before you get to 2000. 1600 is all you really need for AM3.

Even DDR3 1600 RAM will be enough for overclocking.

IMO, the 890FX chipset is not a good choice for the money since many of them costs just as much a higher-end Intel LGA 1156 motherboard or lower-end Intel LGA1366 motherboard.
