Hey guys, I don't know what the hell is going on, but I think i'm getting a thrown temp someplace. I've felt everything to the touch and it all seems fine.

Can you guys give me a hand?

What mobo? Any chance it's an AMD 780G? If so then there's nothing to worry about AT ALL.

Should be same stuff, esp if it's a Gigabyte board. No one knows what it is and there's been a ton of speculation regarding it. Some say it's the temp of the integrated GPU and some have tried slapping a fan on the NB or changing the NB out but the temp hovers the same. As mentioned, absolutely nothing to worry about. 2 of MA78GMs had the exact temp, 85 unmoving, rev1 and rev2.

Alright thanks. It's weird, at first it was at 92C and has been at 85C pretty much the whole time.

when i run speedfan on my system it reports a temp to me of 127c on something, i cant remember what. when i get home i will repost.

i have an aux temp that it says is at 119c. i think if something was running at 119c it would have fried by now.

check and see how many temps are reported in the bios (probably 2 - cpu and system) and if so that third high temp is likely a sensor lead with no sensor on it. In other words the sensor control chip on the board has ports for 3 sensors and only 2 are implemented on the motherborad and the unused 3rd port gives insane readings.

The only other thing it could be that woud run that hot is the mosFETs for the cpu voltage regulation circuity and they are typically 150C parts.
