What are some thick, wide mice?

I don't really want a tall mouse like the mx518 or g5 / 400 logitech but wide left to right, I want to minimize the amount I have to cup my hand around the mouse because for me that causes the greatest discomfort.

Tall is okay but not tall and skinny.

I use ring + pinky on the side for the control but the knuckle on my pinky is at a fairly large offset from my ring finger so when the side of the mouse forces me to mash them together it becomes very uncomfortable with extended use.

Currently I used the Rat7 with the thumb pad full extended and pink rest but I think it's a little too flat and I end up having to put my pinky way on the edge of the rest to get a good relaxed feel.

Also have a G9x as backup but that causes cramping after extended use. I did ~2 hours of vertex tweaking in Illustrator with it and my hand was killing me.

I need something a smidge taller with similar width.

I remember the Deathadder was almost perfect but with how fast my first one got double-click of doom I'm still scared of Razer products.

On my consideration:
Roccat Kone
CM Storm Sentinel
Corsair Vengeance (maybe? looks wide but not sure)
Mionix Naos

Any additional suggestions or evaluations on the above 4 mice based on user experience?

Some of the TT Esports look okay but I bought the Black a while ago because it was so cheap and it had the worst ergonomics ever. Fat back with narrow front, buttons mashed your fingers together, too tall, just awful everywhere with a PTE, which I have no issue with in my Rat but for some reason the one in the TT was baaaaaad.

Can't believe http://www.amazon.com/Thermaltake-MO-LTM009DT-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B009GTV3S4/ref=pd_sim_sbs_vg_3 is already half the starting price, must have been a bad seller.

Mionix Naos 3200 is what I have and highly recommend. Most likely some people are going to come in and claim some stupid crap about the sensor not being the best ever, but I've been using mine for a while and can tell you if there is any technical limitation in the sensor, it's not noticeable - the people who claim stuff like this are the type of people who will do so from a spec sheet without ever having used the thing.

The mouse goes where I want it. I've had mice that tracked poorly and this is not one of them. And the best thing is how comfortable it is. I also can't stand having to cup my hand around a mouse - this doesn't need that. And the claw mouse grip seems like one of the worst ideas ever to me. Not sure why anyone would be willing to punish themselves by using a mouse like that.

I hear mixed reviews on the two laser Naos vs. the 3200, not really sure what to think of it, might just be laser vs. optics fanboys.

Either way I'd rather roll for the cheaper one, I find differences in optics to be minor since I run a moderate to high sensitivity and I'm mostly concerned with comfort.

Probably. I returned the 5000 due to shoddy build quality tho.

Just to finally put my mind @ ease and lay it to rest, I played 2 hrs of UT2K4 Low Grav Instagib and the Naos 8200 consistently gave me better scores than the G400. Now it's time to find a good mouse pad!

The whole thing would creak when squeezed. I would notice it while playing for awhile after my grip would tighten up. BUT...I'm a tard, this was on the 5000. I remember now because it had the removable bottom and I blamed that. It's sort of like a cheap Samsung phone compared to an iPhone. It just FEELS better.

I have not used the 3200, my bad! No gimmicky weight system there, so I bet it's closer to the 8200.

If the Kone Pure Optical or DeathAdder 2013 would suit you, those might be your current best picks regarding consistent tracking.
The Steelseries Rival should be released soon, so you might want to look at that as it should compete against the DeathAdder 2013.

I would love to get another deathadder if I could trust razer's QC, the only thing I never liked on the original was the smooth left side wasn't great for lifting it up.

I'm really digging just about everything about the Naos 3200 so I'll probably drop for one in the near future, thanks for the feedback.
