S/N
- you need a S/N from a WD drive
- you do not need to send in the old drive
- any warrenty on the old drive will be invalidated
- drives w/o any warrenty is valid
- To get the s/n off of a drive in your machine you can use WD's Datalifeguard tools:

I just downloaded this utility, unfortunately, I have my WD Drives set up in a raid and all I see on the diagnostics screen is "Sil RAID 0 Set (IDE)" no serial number listed :( anyone know a way around this?

Thanks,
Shhhh

No, I ran into this problem also.
Decided to go with some Seagate drives since WD raised their prices because of jackasses like this mudman24 guy
