Weird shut down problem.

When I shut down my computer the screen goes blank but the computer itself reminds on. At first I just thought there's something wrong with the drivers since Creative is known for crappy drivers. I got a SSD yesterday and the same thing happened during the Windows installation. When the installation restarted the computer, the screen went blank and the computer stayed on. And this happened when I only had the video card and SSD connected. I tried reflashing the BIOS and reseating the RAM but the problem continues on the fresh Windows 7 install. It's a 4 year old motherboard so you guys think it's just slowly dying?

Stock Q6600
HD4850
G.Skill 4GB RAM
Creative XFI Xtrememusic
2 HDD and 1 SSD

Check the BIOs to see if there's any sort of shutdown options or something. Check the Sleep states and see if it's set to S1,S2, S3, or S4

It was set to S3. I can put the computer to sleep with no problem. It's shutting down and restarting that caused the computer to hang.

Probably gonna try that when I get home. It's weird to think RAM would stop the computer from shutting down properly, especially when I never had trouble with Sleep when everything was saved to the RAM.
