i got and asus k8n-e delux motherboard with 1 gig XMS 3200 and an fx 5600. however i get no video signal at all. not just no picture on my monitor but no signal all together. i have no clue what it is though
thanks

what did you do? take it apart and clean? or..did it just decide not to work one morning?

no, heh, i just bought all the parts except the video card which im using now in my other machine. everything seems to be working except for the video signal part. ive tried swapping vid cards and ram already.

So the fx5600 does work in another computer? or you get video signal out of your motherboard with a different video card?

What power supply are you using? Have you run each component seperately using parts you know for sure work? Start with just the PSU, mobo, cpu, heatsink/fan, ram, and vid card. Unhook everything else from the PSU and mobo. If you get a POST, start hooking one thing back up one at a time until you dont POST anymore. Post results. If you start out barebone and still get nothing, start testing each part you bought new individually in another rig if you can. If you cant test and cant get anywhere RMA the parts you cant test, it's all you can do.

Please post your PSU though you are running quite a few peripherals and I'm curious to see what's feeding everything its juice :D

It's either your AGP slot or your Processor. More likely your processor. I just had the same problem. Frustrating.

I have had similar problems..don't know what I really did to fix it but I made sure all the IDE, connecters and everything were connected and that seemed to work.

the 5600 does work on another computer and both cards i tried dont work on the new mobo. ive tried booting with just the cpu, vid card, and mobo hooked up and still the same thing.

im using a thermaltake purepower480 watt

I'm having same probs and have tried the same swaps. No video display whatsoever. I'm thinking it's a board related thing. Board I'm using - AsusP400e dlx. Anyone with a resolution process feel free to post.
