Legacy was junk we need a game similar to elite force or the final unity

I played legacy for all of two minutes, then I uninstalled it.

I wanted to throw up.

Armada 2 is fine for me, at the moment, BC was cool too.

But unless they make an armada 3, I won't be interested.

I played Legacy at a friends and its a few minutes of my life I'll never get back.
I long for a decent Startrek game, such a wasted franchise.
Whoever is responsible for its promotion needs sacking.

We need 10 new Star Trek games, that way at least 1 or 2 will be utterly awesome. The rest will be throw away garbage.

oh, bridge commander was soooooo much fun. I added in the Reliant, the NCC 1701, the music from TWoK, and screamed "KHAAAAAAAAN!" about a thousand times.

Amen to Bridge Commander. If we could only get an updated version of that game.

Hopefully the upcoming movie will get us a BC-style game in the next year.

And yes, ST Legacy = EPIC FAIL.

That is all.

We need a new Trek game that's actually really good for once.

What we need is a new Star Trek game based on the original Star Trek game, with the grid and all.

i'd like to see a Star Trek RPG ala KOTOR. an RPG that merges the characters from Voyager, Deep Space Nine and The Next Generation

Not feasible. Star Trek lacks a monetary system. No loot, no glory in combat (the Federation is inherently a non-violent organization), etc...

how about then a Star Trek game called: "The end of the federation" ;)

STO is on hold. I guarantee you they're holding out to see if the new movie revives the franchise.

i first thought that title said starcon
and i was like, damn straight, then i reread it, and im like, oh, lame.

Klingon Academy redone with today's capabilities and a dynamic multi player campaign (ala Star Fleet Command II) would make me happy.

There is a huge Star Trek Mod in the works for Sins of the Solar Empire that might scratch that itch.

hmm, just tried to go there and found it was blocked by my security software with this msg:

2008/03/28 19:21:24 [<-] BLOCKED [!] - Destination is PSI FAKES PHOTOBKT Split, Toronto District Schoo... (38.118.213.21) [Protocol: TCP - src: 4273 / dst: 80]

Its because its a filefront network site :p

I think new Star Trek game should be set in an alternate Star Trek universe. That way it could still be Star Trek but without the burden of the existing storylines. Kinda like how KOTOR was distinctly a Star Wars universe but was seperate from the movies.

Well we were gonna have a mmo but the devs pulled out of the project :( assholes.

Star Trek? What is that? Lol... Im a trekkie of sorts, but there is little to no new content to really do anything, and I doubt a single movie will do much, so a new game might be kind of pointless. All the ships and grephics provided in tabletop are available in one way or another for the 'Armada' series through mods if nothing else. Sorry, but I think the genre is dead. There are only enough geeks in the world to support a given number of fantasy/sci-fi genre's, and with WoW taking the computer crown, and LOTR taking alot of the movie geeks away, star trek might go the path of the Highlander.

Just as long as their next game lets me play around with LCARS screens. I've always wanted to do that! ;)

In a Mirror, Darkly was one of my favorite Enterprise episodes.

Yes, please. And Klingon Honor Guard would have prolly been a hit for it's time if it were not for the bugs and Microprose going under and not being able to fix/support it.

They need a Ferengi game.

Model it after the Tycoon games

Considering how Voyager ended, which is pretty much the furthest into the future of anything, wouldnt a Borg Extermination be in order? Or 'Federation meets Gamma Quadrant' (was that the right one, where Voyager was coming from?)

I enjoyed Elite Force back in the day. To bad lack of support killed it early. Elite Force 2 was crap for multiplayer. Single player was great. I also enjoyed SFC III. I thought Bridge Commander was crap, although I didn't put a ton of effort into it.

Yes we need a good game soon. Something with 3rd person ship battles and 1st person action combined. That would be sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

Something where the crew of the Voyager is destroyed and where Picard travels back in time to fight Kirk to settle the Kirk vs Picard debate would be nice.

Since each show takes place in a different part of the galaxy just have each show be a large explorable area with things in each from the show / movies.

Could be fun, I have not played a good Star Trek game in I cannot remember how long. the FPS one from Voyager I think was okay but nothing glorious compaired to what was already out. Before that I play a TNG adventure game which was neat but annoying. Before that it was one on the origional that was pretty fun.

Hopefully the movie will breathe some life back into such a good show / movie / game theme. Enterprise started okay but just dropped off as boring too quickly. The fan made serries that took place around TOS was better IMO.
