WD USB 3 very slow write speeds.

I have a Passport Essential SE 1TB USB 3, hooked into my desktop (in sig) via a ASUS U3S6 3 card.

When coping a large amount of data, 5 gb iso, the file transfer starts at 100mb/sec then drops down to 20mb/secs. However it should be around 100mb/sec for the duration right?

Then I ran CrystalDiskMark.
Sq Read 95mb/sec
Sq Write 5.6 mb/sec
Wtf?

Any one have an idea what is going on?
The USB 3 card shows up in device manger as an NEC USB 3.0 so i think the drivers is good?
 
hmmm..... that's how mine works, too. I have data being streamed off of my 128GB C300 via my P8H67-I Deluxe motherboard's USB3 port... starts out with a nice burst, then calms all the way down :(

as for the chrystalmark, I have no clue on that.
 
Anyone have an ideas?? Would love to see this issue fixed ^^
