AMD x2 5200+ 2 megs cache 2.6gz Win XP 32
Whetstone 2662
Dhrystone 4783

AMD Phenom 9850 3gz Vista 64
Whetsone 2483
Dhrystone 7439

X2 faster on Whetstone X4 faster on Dhrystone. Different OS or is it the CPUs?
 
its the cpu architecture.. also have to remember its per core not the whole cpu.. phenom's are considered true quad cores(but that can still be argued) so they do better on multi-threaded programs then they do on single threaded programs..
