WC cleaning question

In my WC system I've been using 100% Thermaltake Bigwater coolant (don't recommend this BTW). After a few months I started noticing build-up of some kind of a light brown solid matter on the walls of the RES and the tubing. So I need to flush and clean the entire system and probably take apart the water blocks and clean them to. I've heard of people using hot water to flush through the system but I was wondering if anyone has ever tried brake cleaner, Wasn't sure If it would eat though my tubing or not.

And also, what type of coolant or distilled water additive would you recommend?
 
Vinegar and a toothbrush should be used on copper parts...

A pipe cleaner can be used to clean tubing.

I don't think brake cleaner is required.

also use distilled water+ pt nuke

i also recommend using a clear uv dye from petras also.. i use the clear uv blue and its awsome.

dye can be found here


i don't recommend using any coolant as they are mainly gooey and build up residue (ie like what your seeing in your res now)
 
Hmm odd The Tt stuff is just (over priced) distilled water and ethylene glycol (antifreeze) with maybe (its not listed on the bottle) a touch of dye, its actually pretty harmless compared to some stuff out there. Been using it for over a year with no problems at all, clean as day one. weird.
 
Propylene Glycol (Low Tox Anti-Freeze) and distilled water after fushing with white vinegar, works wonders and is more nature friendly.

Even better if you want to spend the cash is RV water system anti-freeze for winterzing the water (drinking/waste) systems.
