My Swiftech MCP350 has suddenly become loud over the past few hours for a reason I cannot understand. At first it was silent but now the pump is very loud and only seems to go back to the normal specs when I clinch a tube so that flow is restricted and the pump would sound normal again. I have no idea what causes this. My pump was bought with a radiator combo package.

Turn it off. Unplug everything from your case. Pick the case up, and turn it around so the pump is lower in the loop and the inlet/outlet barbs are facing up.

I'm guessing there's air in it.

Don't be afraid to shake it around a little bit to force the air out.

If this isn't the problem, your bearing might have worn down, and you'll require a new pump...

+1 for vibration. Hold the pump in your hand so it doesn't touch the case. Does the noise stop?
