Hey, just have a few questions for you watercooling guru's out there. I'm really new to this whole watercooling thing and have been researching all morning trying to figure out what I need. I'm a little confused...sorry for the noob questions I've tried my best to search.

I have a single PowerColor 7950 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131478) and an i5-2500k. Having trouble finding the the waterblock I need. Case I'm using is an NZXT Phantom.

I'm not too worried about including my CPU in the loop right now, have decent air cooling for it and the temps are fine

What I'm really looking to get out of this setup is the quiet factor. My 7950 OC'd andfan speed increasd are louddddd and annoying. My budget is around ~300$, less if possible.

Can anyone help build me a setup. Thanks guys, again sorry for the noobness.

pump is upto you I prefer the D5 based pumps
reservoir or T-line is upto you also.
i also use 1/2 inside diameter tubing
I use all swiftech gear but DD and heatkiller stuff is nice also

No point in only putting your GPU in the loop unless you really can't spring for a $50 CPU block.
 
As the poster above me pointed out unfortunately, your 7950 is a non-reference model that nobody makes a block for. You'd need to use a single GPU block and ramsinks which isn't ideal for a first timer.

I would just get a triple radiator like the MCR-320 for low speed fans or the MCR-320/XSPC EX360/AX360 with high RPM fans if you don't care about acoustics. You'll get stellar temps no matter what radiator you choose and they'll all mount easily on the top of your Phantom without modding.

According to the check thing it is a reference board..(just missing the AMD symbol for some reason) Though that is EK and they are wrong lots. :D

Universal blocks are pretty easy to do tbh, just make sure you get the right adhesive strips for the ramsinks...and some kind of airflow around them..
 
Go for a full loop. Everyone here is right. Adding a CPU block to the mix is a very good idea, and CPU blocks can be re-used on other CPU/mobos.
 
OP, the card you have uses a reference 7950 PCB, so any block that is made for reference designs will fit it just fine..
