Warm Wd2500ks $117.50

Very nice drive, i bought one to replace my older 250 and it is alot quieter...at least to my ears.

I actually have one that should be arriving today. Yesterday Newegg had this for $110 though. I bought it for $115 with free ship.

I purchased one last month from Monach for $119 shipped.

Currently at 'Egg it is $110.99 plus $3.49 Three Day Shipping

Hot deal to me.

got two of em' hooked up RAID 0... very quiet and very fast... if you have an SATA 1 board though you have to jumper them into SATA 150 mode only or they dont work. They dont come with jumpers either.

I'm a little out of the loop, how much more performance will i get over my SATA-150 8mb WD?

Umm it is still expensive.

Really? I saw PATA 300gig drives going for 90ish after rebates (non-black friday deals). Considering this is SATA 3.0Gb/s drive, its seems like a good deal.

agreed. 250 GB working with 16mb cache for $110. Getting close to 10K drive performance with 3 times the storage and 1/3 less. Great deal.

You sure about that? I was told that two raptors in raid0 are still way ahead of two 16mb Sata2s in raid0.

Seek times...yes they are definitely ahead.

I use the WD2500KS (See sig). Alongside my Fujitsu MAP, it is my favorite drive ever.
