Wardogs

I give it a 50/50 that the game crash and burns in the next 30 days.

The difference between people with higher level weapons and us who have lives is pretty bad and gets worse everyday.

Nothing like losing $30k in 10 minutes being sniped from across the map and people lasering you with higher level assault rifles.

Edit: Kind of a shame because the game can be really fun, the amount of frustrating experiences is starting to outweigh the fun experiences already.

Edit: Tried again just now, literally cant parachute out of a heli without being laser'd by assault rifles before touching ground.

I only have my ineptness to blame for splatting myself, or too early cute deployment, (it happens to all of us occasionally) One day I'm up 100k, the next I'm down. I have uttered a few discouraging words. I keep coming back though.

It's really not fun getting the drop on someone, hitting them 3 or 4 times and they still win the gun fight because they have better items.

I am going to revise my estimate and say within 2 weeks a large number of people are going to give up due to balance issues from fast levelers.

Facing against the unemployed is an issue that cannot be balanced. In this instance Lebowski, the bums have won.

I am pretty sure in an interview I heard that they have plans to counter rapid leveling up/unlocks such as other money sinks.
Be in mind it hasn't even been a week and this is also early access, which, last I heard, they plan to be in for two years.

Wait and see I guess.

Just don't do unlocks at all.

Wardogs has 300k players right now and its still an early access game. Players are giving it a healthy chance it seems.

Early Access for 2 years, is no longer "Early Access" if true, it is a cop out for the studio to deflect issues as "early access, still tweaking"

So how grindy is this and how much of an advantage do you get with the unlocks? I want to get into it but I don't have time to grind.

I really enjoyed Planetside 2 back in the day but the unlocks didn't matter that much. You could compete with the stuff you started with. Also back then I had time to grind, now I have like 30 minutes to play a day.

My question as well. For $33 or so I'd give it a try, but if it is a grindfest I am not interested. '83 flopped and glad I passed on it. BF6 will be my more arcadey to go online FPS for some years, but I am looking for a Red Orchestra/Rising Storm Vietnam replacement. But I just don't have the time or desire to grind for hours to unlock crap. I would have thought this was more realistic and would not deal with unlocks, just have a class system, vehicles and tools but apparently not?

With Ace Combat 8 coming out next month and apparently going to have a strong multiplayer I will probably get into that as well.

I never liked the "Whomever can play the most wins" type games. Skill should be the only thing that matters. But skill is so far down on the priority list these days it barely makes it.

I refunded, it just wasn't for me.

Same. The game is too shallow and I never liked the "build your character with cash" system even way back in the original Counterstrike.

Saw this coming years ago with Tarkov. Hey just make a half baked game, call it "beta/early access" for a decade and just use it as a convenient excuse to wave away any criticisms or lack of promised features indefinitely. It's just another checkbox on the infinitely long Entshitification log this day and age.

It's been a week and the difference between not having a life and having a life has really started being apparent in the last day or so.

I started shooting a guy with an AK at point blank range while he was reviving a teammate. He stopped reviving and starting shooting me, I died.

His level allowing him to buy superior weapons and armor allowed him to win that fight, so I'm not playing anymore today with how bad a taste that leaves in my mouth.

I bought the game because it was supposed to be pretty casual friendly, turns out it's kind of not and that's going to drive a lot of players away.
