Waranty question

Hi guys. Quick question.

I am looking at this hard drive to use to back up my pictures and music from my file server. I cant seem to find any info on it though. Does it come with the standard 5yr waranty from Seagate? Any1 have any opnions on this drive? Thanks.

a quick search through newegg reveals that there are very few drives than have a warranty more than 1 year. good luck with finding a decent drive with a longer warranty (and probably paying a lot for it).

You won't find a portable with a longer than 5yr warranty, they get bumped around a lot more than an internal, so they account for it. If you want a nice warranty, buy the 300gb and then an enclosure.
