A small HTPC for my home office.

This needs to be really small. I currently don't have satellite but may subscribe again at some point. Right now I basically want to record regular tv shows and be able to watch them at a later date. Also run Netflix, bluray, and dvds.

I know almost nothing about putting one of these together or what I will need. Any help would be appreciated. Also looking to do this as cheap as possible.

My current setup is here sitting on my desk: 24" LG 1080p hooked up to my computer (old Gateway GT5040).

Thanks for any input.
