My specs are in my sig,
i am using Asus Probe for temp and voltage monitoring
first question,, on the cpu vtt i am getting it turning red at show around 1.38v,, what is this and is this ok, how do i fix
second the 1.2vht is red and at 1.52 is this ok?
and what temp should i be worried at with a e6700 proc, overclocked to 3.4? under orthos large in place FFT test?

Do not have that board. I know what vtt is but I am not sure ASUS is actually measuring it and if you have messed with the setting in the bios. So I do not want to comment as I do not know exactly what that ASUS utility is measuring (I don't trust their labeling)

This part I can comment on.

None, the chip will just shut down, cool off, and be good to go. This is the catastrophic temp trip point and is somewhere around 100C (Intel does not make that public).

There is another temp trip point internal to the CPU called the PROCHOT interrupt whose value is set at the factory and it is typically about 20C LESS than the catastrophic shutdown temp. This is the temp coretemp and probably your ASUS probe ( I hope) is measuring, Actually the processor keeps track of the "number of deg C until PROCHOT is tripped" not an actual temp, but the software does the math for you based on an assumed and verified by user testing trip temp of very close to 85C. If you trip PROCHOT the CPU basically says "dammit I am HOT, spin the fans to full speed, now!!" to the rest of the system.

So PROCHOT is a good limit and we back off some from that, so IMO 70Cish is a nice place to stop under full load, and TAT is preferred to orthos as it heats the processor like nothing else in the world and worst cases the situation. You should use the method below or Coretemp or Speedfan or have someone here confirm that ASUS probe is actually reading the on die (inside the CPU) Digital Temp Sensor.

If you would like to see the actual data inside the processor, here is the procedure, its not hard and is absolutely unarguable as to its value/results as it is clearly documented by Intel in the CPU data sheets.

(That full thread contains tons of info ).

I havent messsed with any of the voltage in the bios just done a little bit of OC on the proc and it has run stable with orthos fine and memory running 1:1 with it
the temp i am getting under full load is around 45c varies just a few degrees both ways

you are not close to hot, hell I idle warmer that that ! pedal to the metal !

(what it tells me is your heatsink mount and case airflow are good, nothing horribly wrong and you have plenty of room to play.)
