VMWorld 2013 roll call!

Just bought my ticket today and booked all my travel. Coming in Sunday evening and leaving Thursday mid day.

I will be there so will LOP he's got a few sessions out there this time..

I get to go with an Employee Badge but I get to actually get to go to the sessions this time!

Me too!

Somebody parted the seas and said that some of us technical employees could greatly benefit from going, so this will be my first. Very excite.

I'll be getting into SF on Saturday and leaving Wednesday.

VCDX bootcamp anybody? Going to try to restoke my interest on that one.

Wife and I will be there starting Friday night.

If anyone has time and wants to get together, send me a PM with your contact info and I'll get an email chain started up to discuss time/place.

itrsteve, I'm going to try to visit the VCDX boot camp again.

I'll be there starting the thursday before (child of wonder - drop me a line!) for tech summit. Then vmworld. Then 8 weeks of straight, back-breaking travel all over the world (my mileage account is gonna LOVE me).

Will you be hosting some of the tech summit sessions? I just signed up for a bunch today.

Child of Wonder, I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the boot camp registrations... As soon as they come up I'll let you know (unless you see them first)

I conveniently am going to be in San Francisco for the week on vacation. Trying to get a 1-day pass when they go on sale August 1st.

I am probably going. Will know for sure on Monday.

Definitely want to meet the hf famous.. :)

I am going, its all paid for. Couldn't get a room remotely close, so my company actually paid straight retail for the Mariott Marquis. Couldn't believe it, like 500/night. Holy MOLEY. Flight has a connection through LV NV.

I'm arriving on the 24th around 1300 in the afternoon local time there. Going to jet lag a little bit, but its not too bad. I'll take it ;).

Super pumped about heading out there and meeting a few of you guys.

I'm in the same boat (same hotel too), paid $494 thru booking.com. Happy to be close this year, last year I was down in the financial district. Was a decent walk if you didn't want to wait for the bus.

Yes, sorta - My group does all the proctoring for tech summit, in the sense that everyone delivering sessions (unless we step in) got trained by us :)

Ill be going.
I plan to hit the TAM meetings sunday then the sessions through out the week.
Unless a vender requests some private sessions with my team I try to keep it simple.
I'm not a veteran forum type like some of the others here but I'm sure I can add some depth of knowledge if needed.
I have three vmworld blankets and working on a forth!

I also have a personal blog where I throw my PowerCLI goodies.

Now the fun begins, picking sessions...

Jason - Really enjoyed your vDS session from last year, booked it again.

Anyone else getting massive email spam from all of the session time changes this year?
I've had to hit the schedule builder a few times to fill gaps because of movements and conflicts.
Crazy stuff being three weeks away.

Not unusual. As they start adding repeat sessions sometimes they have to shift..plus if a session is real popular they'll move it to a bigger room and have to shuffle again.

They added a repeat of mine on Wednesday morning. My first one on Tuesday hit 550 registered people.

Everything is Tuesday night it seems. :)

In! Staying at the Hilton. Is that a good place?

Never been to any convention for any vendor, ever. Looking forward to a great experience. And lopoetve, I'm the quiet, non-troublemaking type if you're looking to invite people... maybe to haze? :)

Booked my hotel a little late but think I came out ahead, staying at the Marriott Marquis.

I'll see what I can swing - find me Monday :) I'll PM you some contact details.

will do, I will be the only one coming from my company this year. Last two years my boss has always come along. Hes not into the social aspect as much as I am. Should be a different experience.

no, hadn't heard about this event until you just posted it. How do you get tickets?

Last minute.. not sure...

I was in luck, our colo vendor Peak10 is a sponsor and had one ticket left so I was able to get them to overnight that to me. I think they will open the doors for non pass holders at some point in the evening.
