I installed the Free VMware server and copied over the pre made vm folder for Damn Small Linux. It runs just like a live CD so the image didn't even have a hard drive made. Can I add a hard drive to the virtual machine or is that something I need the paid version for?

Also if I can't do that could Virtual Box run a VMware image?

Yes just turn off the VM
Go to the VM settings, and add a HDD.
turn on VM
mount HDD
Format HDD
Profit

Your absolutely right. I looked at all the settings a few times and missed that add button every time. Thank you much for your help.
