I was just curious what everyone else was scoring for their perfomance indexes on their hardware. My specs are listed below and I scored a 4.2. What are you guys scoring??

1.0
HP nc6000
Pentium M 1.7
1 GB DDR Memory
60 GB 4200 rpm hard drive
Radeon 9600 Series.

My graphics and hard drive scores suck, so that's why I get a very low score. Performance overall is quite good though. Not as snappy as XP, but Vista isn't final yet.

3.0.

Socket A Sempron 2400
1.5gb DDR-400
120gb 7200rpm Seagate P-ATA
6600 GT (128mb)

My scores are in the 4's and 5's for just about everything, but my CPU only got a 3. So my score is three.

I plan a new computer early next year so no big deal.

4.8 in Ultmate
4.7 in Home Basic

4.1

Windows Vista Ultimate
5.1 (stupid processor and RAM....GRRRR)
CPU: Opteron 170 @ 2.6GHz rated 5.1
RAM: 2GB DDR500 @ DDR432 3-4-4-10 rated 5.1
Graphics: 7900GTX rated 5.9
Gaming Graphics: 7900GTX rated 5.9 (SLI not working, but Vista detected ~760MB of "graphics memory" so it sees both cards....)
Hard Disk Transfer: 5.9

DAMN YOU CPU AND RAM! I would have had a 5.9 but nooooooo....gheyness of slow CPU and RAM....

Not necessarily. I have one X1900XT with 512MB, but Vista shows me having
1276MB Total Video Memory
509MB Dedicated Video Memory
0MB System Video Memory
767MB Shared System Memory

Ladies and gentlemen, the premiere e-wang thread.
It made me LOL anyway :D

There's a revised version of the check due out sometime soon. (Or perhaps MS might wake up to itself and drop the thing altogether?)

4.9 for the system in the sig. Dunno what happened but it was 5.1 in Pre-RC1. Oh well, everything just works and I'm VERY happy about that.

2.3 due to the X600SE's low Graphics score. Although it did score 3.2 in Gaming Graphics

4.1 is mine.

Edit: lol it made my Drives into smiley faces.

I get a 4.8 which is my lowest score, on the drive that Vista is installed on, it's an older 60gb SATA drive. Everything else scores a 5.2 to 5.5........

I finally got my memory, so I figured I'd try it out. This is the first system in my sig. I was expecting a bit higher.

5.4 in Ultimate
Dual Intel 5130
nVidia 7900GT
4g RAM
WD Raptor HD

My memory was my lowest score. Everything else was around 5.8 - 5.9

my system with a 1.4 thunderbird scored a 1.7 on the ram, everything else was a little higher.

My test box: Tyan Tiger MPX, Dual AthlonMP 1.2Ghz, 1gb PC2100, Nvidia FX5600Ultra, WD 250g 8meg cache.

Score: 2.9
Processor: 3.9
RAM: 3.7
Graphics: 2.9
Gaming Graphics: 3.0
Primary HD: 4.8

4.5 in ultimate RC2 5744

Pretinent comp info

2gb PC3200 dual channel mode (2x1gb)
6800GT AGP
7200rpm 16mb cache 300gb

Onboard Realtek sound

I guess vista likes having more memory than anything else.

btw, anyone know how to change the OEM info from "to be filled in" to something I like?

hahahaha I have a bigger e-wang... lol
My shuttle in my sig:
Processor: 5.6
RAM: 5.9
Graphics: 5.9
Gaming Graphics: 5.8
HDD: 5.7

Work PC.... Will post home when at home ;)

2.1

Processor AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ 4.1
Memory (RAM) 960 MB 4.5
Graphics RADEON XPRESS 200 Series (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM) 2.1
Gaming graphics 287 MB Total available graphics memory 3.0
Primary hard disk 7GB Free (20GB Total) 5.5
Windows Vista (TM) Ultimate

Native install on a 15" MacBook Pro gives me a 4.3. Hopefully new ATI drivers will come out, plus I haven't bothered to clock the X1600 up to "normal" speeds either, which could bump the score higher. Apple purposely clocks the GPU down from ATI defaults (470/470) to about 300/300 - a major major performance loss but it's done to keep the laptop running cool.

So, if the score changes (and it should, I can't see why it won't) I'll post an update. Also, I have a Hitachi 160GB SATA laptop drive (the perpendicular recording model) so that's faster than the stock 80GB in it now, which means a higher score again.

Maybe I'll hit that magical 5.0 and be done with it. :)

Vista_Performance.png

Running Windows Vista RC2 64-bit.
Obviously the graphics is my systems 'Achilles heel', the card is an Nvidia 7600 GS 512MB.
The performance may of course depend on the drivers used, I'm using the native ones as there are no Nvidia-made drivers available for this OS yet.

My E6400 and cheap 800Mhz RAM do quite well however, which is what I'm most interested in, in any case.

4.3 Ultimate RC1

week spot is actually my 550

Full specs as workstation in my sig.

I just want to know how a X700 scores a 4.9 in grapics.

Processor = 5.3
Memory (RAM) = 4.5

Gaming Graphics = 5.8

Intel C2D E6600
Corsair DDR2-675 XMS2-5400C4
BFG 7900GS OC
Maxtor Atlas 15K 18GB U320 +Adaptec 29320 in PCI-X slot
Asus P5WDG2-WS Professional

Nothing OC'd at this time

The score is constrained to the lowest component, how about just posting your score and what constrains it?

Mine is a 2.0, bottlenecked by my Quadro NVS 110M.

i scored a 1 on the desktop in my sig, but it was running as a virtual machine with 512mb of ram

same for my x850xt. most likely because of the lack of shader model 3.0
