I have a older system i want to upgrade the videocard for..but i wanted to know which videocard would be the best for this system without spending to much and NOT bottlenecking my system. On this system its mostly Counter-strike. Here are the specs.

Pentium3 500mhz
256mb pc100 ram
10gig 7200rpm SCSI hardrive
windows 98se
(geforce4 mx440se 64mb PCI)

also this mobo doesn't have AGP so i need a PCI card....with this card i still get video studders even with everything turned down to the lowest quality on this gf4mx440 card in CS. what card do you all recommend for this system without bottleneck.

I think you can still find the fx5200pci cards around that would fit that system nicely.

Don't read my topics then easy as that.....i hope you are banned from HardForum. I WILL continue to post "useless topics" as you call them ..just to piss you off :D have a nice day!

Seriously why would you upgrade a 500mhz computer. I would just stick with a voodoo3 pci in there or some cheap 2D only PCI vid card.

Radeon 9100 PCI @ 250/250.
Brent says there is an 8500 PCI running at 275/275, which would kick the hell out of any other PCI card, but I haven't found one yet.
