Question what card would suit my needs best, i plan on playing games at 1600x1200 max and would like to play at high or better with all the goodies turned on, my system is gonna be a i5 2500k OCed to atleast 4Ghz and 8 gigs of ram, I plan on upgrading when the new cards coming out so this will kinda hold me over until then so what would be recommended. i plan on playing SWTOR, Guild Wars 2, Serious Sam BFE, and so on. Thanks for the advice in advance.

What's your price range? At that resolution, the GTX 560 Ti or the 6950 are good choices, but the vanilla 560 or the 6870 would also work, at lower settings. Depends how much you want to spend.

Then you're looking at either the $180 HD 6870, $190 GTX 560, or the $220 GTX 560 TI in that price range.

You can find 1GB 6950's in the $220 range also (or even cheaper, like the one below), if you prefer AMD. At $189 after rebate it is better than the 560 and will trade blows with the 560 Ti in most games.

$219.99 (after $10 promo code) XFX 6950 1GB (also has a $30 MIR).
